I hope you had an excellent Thanksgiving holiday. After my bride stuffed us with the beautiful dishes she published over at CestSiBon.org, we were as full in our stomachs as our hearts were for this entire year. Gratitude is a powerful thing—and this year we had much to be grateful for.

I unpacked a good amount of those thoughts in my editorial at Townhall.com, and every word remains true even now—perhaps even more so as the weekend draws quiet and still. Reflection always hits a little deeper when the table is cleared and the noise softens.

In this week’s edition of That Passport Life, we dive into the Maldives—why it has become one of the world’s most desired holiday destinations, the beauty, the serenity, the irresistible draw of turquoise waters and private island escapes.

But we also walk alongside a different kind of traveler—one who did not choose their destination. We detail a true journey taken by thousands, a journey none of us would ever wish to take, yet for them, that crossing was the answer to every prayer they had prayed. It is a story of freedom, courage, and the miraculous endurance of the human spirit.

This week also marked a landmark moment in our world: the launch of the new Monday–Friday version of That KEVIN Show, now heard in 400 cities from coast to coast! What a humbling, extraordinary answer to prayer and a powerful reminder: God moves when we least expect it and often bigger than we ever imagine.

And the week concluded with a deeply meaningful honor—the receipt of an invitation from The White House asking us to join the start of the holiday season there on December 7, kicking off what will be a string of celebrations over the next several weeks. We are grateful beyond words, and we are excited to share the journey with you.

We pray your Thanksgiving was blessed, full of laughter, joy, and the people who matter most. And now, as we turn our hearts toward Advent, toward the arrival of the Christ Child, we pray the peace of this holy season in enormous abundance over you and yours.
